Sia Music
Artist Overview
Australian singer-songwriter Sia relocated to the U.K. in the late 1990s and started work on her debut, HEALING IS DIFFICULT. Combining elements of folk, pop, and electronica, the album brought her to the attention of Zero 7--she contributed several tracks to the album SIMPLE THINGS--as well as Massive Attack, Beck, and William Orbit. The use of her track "Breathe Me" in the TV series SIX FEET UNDER heightened her profile even further. The extra exposure helped to push her second album, COLOUR THE SMALL ONE, into the top 10 of the U.K. album charts, and ensured the success of its 2008 follow-up, which debuted at number 26 in the U.S. pop charts.
