Singer-songwriter Jason Mraz made a big showing straight out of the gate with his platinum-selling major-label debut, WAITING FOR MY ROCKET TO COME, in 2002. His mix of pop melodies, funky grooves, and organic, often acoustic-based production earned him immediate comparisons to the likes of John Mayer and the Dave Matthews Band.
