Starsailor Music
Artist Overview
Taking its moniker from the 1970 Tim Buckley record of the same name, Starsailor emerged around the turn of the 21st century in the company of other Britpop groups such as Coldplay and Travis. More straightforward and acoustic-oriented than those acts, the band, fronted by emotive singer/guitarist James Walsh, unveiled its 2001 debut, LOVE IS HERE, to much buzz. Despite some initial momentum, Starsailor didn't find widespread success beyond the U.K., though it continued to have a faithful following.
