Badfinger Music
Artist Overview
Welsh quartet Badfinger was discovered by the Beatles' Apple Records label, and had their first big hit with a song given to them by Paul McCartney. From 1968-1975 the group's melodic power-pop sound earned them several international hit singles, including "No Matter What," "Come and Get It," and "Day After Day." Although the band is now regarded as a heavy influence on multiple generations of power pop bands and songwriters, they were beset, in their heyday, by legal and financial troubles, as well as bouts with clinical depression and, eventually, the suicide of two members.
