Artist Overview
Emerging amidst the alternative-rock boom of the 1990s, New York City's Fun Lovin' Criminals allied themselves with the more urban aspects of that scene, working in a funk/hip-hop influence much like fellow acts G. Love & Special Sauce and Soul Coughing. While the band's '96 major-label debut, COME FIND YOURSELF, was FLC's only album to receive much attention in the U.S., thanks largely to the carefree single "Scooby Snacks," the ensemble found a surprisingly dedicated following in the U.K., with some succeeding outings reaching the heights of the British album charts.
