Slint Music
Artist Overview
Born out of the ashes of Louisville punk band Squirrel Bait in the late 1980s, Slint effectively followed in the footsteps of fellow math-rockers like Honor Role, creating convoluted, dense, alternative rock--before there was such a thing. After a mere two albums--one of which was really a collection of demos--around 1994, Slint dissolved into the For Carnation, having helped pave the way for the development of the emocore movement. Slint reformed in the early 2000s for a string of historic reunion tours, one of which saw them perform their landmark album SPIDERLAND in its entirety.
