Neil Sedaka Pop
Artist Overview
In the late-1950s/early-'60s Neil Sedaka was part of the compositional Camelot that was New York's Brill Building songwriters stable, penning hits for Connie Francis, Tom Jones, and others. It wasn't long before he began recording his own compositions and scoring hits for himself. In the '70s, a more mature Sedaka made a major comeback with a more sophisticated, Adult Contemporary sound, racking a batch of new chart-toppers. Others hit big with tunes around that time as well, such as the Captain & Tennille with "Love Will Keep Us Together."
