The Clarion M309 is a watertight heavy-duty CD receiver. Water is a marine source unit's world enemy, and salt can be a nightmare. The MP309 has been IPX5 tested and certified to offer the highest water intrusion protection and salt resistance. Rubber gaskets stop water in its tracks, with Integrated drainage Channels to keep water out. Should any water get behind the panel, the stainless steel chassis, along with an integrated drip shield over the main harness connector, helps protect internal circuitry from the effects of moisture, corrosion and mildew. Connect your iPod's USB cable to M309's rear USB Input and you get complete key control of your iPod including genre/ album/song title search and also you can use iPod's control wheel (simple control mode). Playback of Audio files stored on USB Memory is also possible. BBE MP (Minimized Polynomial Non-Linear Saturation) Process improves digitally compressed Sound such as MP3/ WMA/AAC by restoring the harmonics that are lost through compression, thereby reproducing the warmth, details and nuances that you would otherwise miss.
