"Hi there! I just wanted to say thank you so much for the great service that I received. I have never ordered from J&R before and was a little skeptical at first. I had originally purchased a Garmin from a small company on the internet and they took so long to place my order that by the time they did the product was sold out. I then began to panic because I had ordered the Garmin for my grandmother to give to my grandfather so that she did not have to fight the crowds Christmas shopping and would get a good price. This is when I found your website and not only did you guys have the product at a better price then the other website, but it arrived at my grandmother's house 3 days after I ordered it. - Your Service Is Fast -- Items always ship same day. Order today and the next morning, a shipping email will be waiting for me in my mailbox!
- You Pack Items Carefully -- With $2,000 worth of camera equipment, this is very, very important. All my items arrive in perfect condition. Not even a dent on the box.
- Every Item Is Brand New, Factory Sealed, Untampered -- This is a common problem with camera websites; where they sell used products as new, or open box items. There are alot of bait and switch websites out there. J&R is not one of those. You are a 110% legitimate, reliable retailer.
- Your Prices Are Competitive -- I am convinced that you have people solely responsible for checking out prices across the web, so that you can match the lowest prices you find. Within a day of the EOS 50D being sold for $200 less, J&R quickly updated their price on the website. Impressive!
- Your Customer Service Is Courteous And Fast -- I had to return my first purchase. I sent you all an email about it, and within a day, someone responded. I was asked to call you guys about it. When I called, I didn't even have to describe the issue, I simply mentioned that I was asked to call from an email I sent, and the CS immediately recognized the issue and even called my by name! IMPRESSIVE! The issue was quickly resolved, and received an RA# with no problems.
- Of course -- No Taxes outside of NY!
- Many Items Ship Free! -- What's best about J&R is that if I have multiple items in the same order, and the larger item ships free but the smaller ones do not, the entire order ships free. Many may not realize this but many retailers don't do this. Many retailers will charge shipping for other items that don't have free shipping.
"First I'd like to say that I have been a loyal J&R customer since the 80's and have never been disappointed. I like using the web site; it is accurate and tends to be cheaper than CC and BB. The ordering process on the web site is great; I placed an order recently and before I had even received the e-mail telling me that my order had shipped, It had already been delivered to my home. "I am writing to let you know that I had a very good customer service experience with the J&R customer service team. I am currently living in Singapore and recently ordered a camera through JR.com. I was having the order shipped to my mother so she could bring it with her on an upcoming visit to Singapore. I accidently entered the wrong billing address on my order form. J&R flagged the order and when I called customer service, Aldy explained exactly what I needed to do in order to have the order processed. "I'm a long-time J&R customer. Your new site is certainly faster, which is always appreciated. Navigation seems improved but I can't quite pinpoint it. I think it's primarily the home page layout and less cluttered top nav tabs. I love the product breakdowns by category and price, best-seller is great. I can always find what I'm looking for in just a few clicks or discover that you don't carry it. Your website is better than Butterfly Photo (whose site is new too) or Amazon or Outpost/Fry and light years better than 17 Street Photo or mainstream names like Circuit City or Macy's.
