In photography, 6x7 refers to a medium-format film and camera. It refers to the size, 6 centimeters by 7 centimeters, per each exposure. 6x7 is called the ideal format because it enlarges to standard 8x10" paper size with almost no cropping, thereby using virtually the entire image area. Professionals will find art directors and clients appreciate the large, detailed 6x7cm format over others.
