In the 1970's Sony's Trinitron TV set superior standards for sharper, clearer color performance. As we prepared for the 21st Century, Sony introduced the FD Trinitron WEGA CRT for a new unprecedented level of TV performance. The Flat Glass Panel provides a virtually perfect image with no distortion. The picture is precise from top to bottom, side to side, and corner to corner. Virtually eliminates glare and provides a wider viewing angle. Borrowing from Sony's advances in digital computer monitor technology, the tube surface uses a fine aperture grille matrix to provide more image detail. Originally introduced on sony's premier, large screen TVs, WEGA is now available among all picture sizes (13" and up). Sometimes pronounced as 'Vega'
