JAVA DEVELOPER

This newly created position within the expanding and dynamic e-commerce department will support ongoing development of the J2EE based website and contact center applications. Successful candidates must be able to work in a team as well as on their own, possess strong attention to detail skills, excellent communication skills including writing documentation with the ability to meet changing priorities in fast-paced environment.

Requirements:
  • A minimum of three years developing server-side Java applications with Spring MVC or equivalent MVC framework (Struts, WebWork, etc.)
  • Proven experience working with Spring Framework. Blue Martini Commerce, a plus
  • Solid understanding of object-oriented development and distributed application development concepts including JMS, RMI, SOAP, WSDL
  • Experience working with Oracle, SQL Server or DB2 database management systems, Oracle experience preferred
  • Understanding of relational database concepts with object-relational mapping techniques, a plus
  • Experience supporting multiple concurrent code branches with understanding of source control and release management concepts
  • Comfort level working in Linux/Unix environment and working with shell scripts. Experience with Perl or Python, a plus
  • Endeca experience, a plus
  • BA in Computer Science or equivalent experience

CONSUMER ELECTRONICS BUYER

The successful candidate will be accountable for the following:

  • Buying and managing merchandise assortment and new product introduction
  • Analyzing sales trends and being pro-active to changing market needs
  • Maintaining and implementing cost effective purchasing from vendors while upholding quality and reliability of sources history including terms of purchase and delivery schedules
  • Managing inventory to meet financial objectives including sales, margins and inventory turnover

Requirements:
  • Minimum five years retail or wholesale buying experience in consumer electronics with an emphasis on digital cameras, computer products, televisions and related accessories
  • High end audio and video buying experience, a plus

RETAIL STORE SECURITY DIRECTOR

The successful candidate in this newly created hands-on position will establish and maintain security regulations and procedures for the company.

Accountabilities include:
  • Develop loss prevention programs to reduce internal and external theft
  • Trains guards in loss prevention, maintains adequate staffing levels
  • Assists, advises and guides departments regarding security regulations and procedures
  • Liaison with outside law enforcement agencies
  • Investigation of internal and external violations
  • Supervises audits of operational and inventory control related procedures as well as compliance with store security standards
  • Create weekly reports for management

Requirements:
  • Minimum of 5-10 years retail store security experience
  • Regional or district experience, a must
  • Good oral and written communication skills including presentation skills
  • Organized with attention to detail
  • Current knowledge of retail loss prevention techniques and security systems technology with interest in changing trends

AFFILIATE MARKETING ANALYST

This challenging position requires a relationship-focused individual with an interest in web marketing and performance marketing in particular. You will work with the Affiliate Marketing Manager to increase affiliate-driven revenue.


Accountabilities include:
  • Day to day Affiliate Marketing Communication including recruitment and questions from Affiliates
  • Develop strategies to maximize Affiliate performance while meeting business objectives
  • Active participation in Affiliate Marketing to establish and grow relationships within the Affiliate Community
  • Monitor Affiliate guidelines for compliance
  • Identify and recommend new technology/processes to meet requests of Affiliates
  • Assimilate data for ROI reporting and provide guidance weekly.
  • Report on Affiliate performance
  • Identify emerging external marketing opportunities and establish relationships

Requirements:
  • One-two years experience in online marketing, prior experience in Affiliate Marketing preferred
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office with Access, a plus
  • Proven analytical abilities
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Linkshare and Omniture experience, a plus
  • Consumer Electronics knowledge, a plus
  • BA Degree or equivalent experience

WEB CONTENT SUPPORT

J&R is seeking a creative, detail-oriented professional to support its Web Content Department.

The perspective candidate must have strong writing skills, attention to detail, and good knowledge of retail consumer electronics products.

Duties
  • Creative copy-writing of detailed product descriptions for retail website
  • Matching products with related accessories
  • Search for and process product artwork using Adobe Photoshop

Requirements
  • Must be able to use Internet search engines and browse web sites for related product content
  • Must have a passion for and be familiar with most major Consumer Electronics Products
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail a must!
  • Excellent writing, typing and verbal communication skills
  • Basic Adobe Photoshop experience (pathing and light editing skills)
  • Familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Previous retail consumer electronics experience a plus!
  • Previous data reporting or data warehouse experience a plus!
