This classic tale draws on themes of love and war to tell an epic tale. Hannibal (Victor Mature) is a boisterous general making a dangerous trek through the Alps and into Italy. His journey sees him violently defeating anyone who stands in his way, and his capture of the stunning Sylvia of Rome (Rita Gam) is a huge blow to his enemies. His idea of illustrating his might to the distressed damsel is thwarted, however, when, the two embark on a star-crossed love affair. Drama ensues, with director Edgar G. Ulmar effortlessly guiding the film to an explosive and action-packed conclusion.
