Highly lauded for his innovative documentation of the underwater world, 2004 found Jacques Cousteau an unlikely figure of inspiration for the cooler-than-cool filmmaker Wes Anderson, who loosely based his film THE LIFE AQUATIC WITH STEVE ZISSOU around Cousteau's exploits. This release includes some of the beautifully antiquated television programs Cousteau produced, which saw him exploring the sea for sunken ships, strange creatures, lost islands, and many other weird and wonderful delights.
