In this acclaimed TV dramedy from the FX Network, comedian Denis Leary plays Tommy Gavin, a New York fireman coping with the lingering after-effects of 9/11 and his own personal demons: alcoholism, a painful separation from his wife, Janet (Andrea Roth), and the death of his son. Tommy finds relief from his woes by talking them out with the ghost of his cousin Jimmy (James McCaffrey), who died in the World Trade Center attacks. Leary and Emmy-winning writer Peter Tolan (THE LARRY SANDERS SHOW) co-created the gripping and darkly humorous show, which resonates with Leary's real life--his cousin, a firefighter, died in a tragic 1999 warehouse fire. This collection presents the first half of the series' fifth season, which finds Michael J. Fox joining the cast as Janet's new love interest.
