The Houston-based and Cali-bred artist known as Baby Bash comes with another collection of urban ballads and hot club-bangers on his third solo LP, CYCLONE. Moving seamlessly from slick rapid-fire raps to Nate Dogg-esque harmonizing, Baby Bash brings tales of ghetto love as well as strip-club debauchery. CYCLONE features production from Lil Jon, JR Rotem, Jim Jonsin, and Happy Perez and guest spots from Pimp C, T-Pain, Sean Kingston, Paula DeAnda, Keith Sweat, and Chingo Bling.
Vibe (p.112) - "He favors high-gloss pop synths and cribs slang from hyphy and reggaeton....Bash always finds a way to sweet-talk his way."
With a hard exterior, a poetic touch, and a knack for inventive samples, Baby Bash -- pronounced "baby beesh" - emerged from the Texas Latino rap community in the 1990s with acts like South Park Mexican and N2Deep (the latter with whom he formed the collective, Latino Velvet). While the Houston (by way of Vallejo, California) MC has had decent success with albums like SUPER SAUCY, he made a name for himself as one of the hip-hop universe's most diverse and prolific guest stars.
