Gucci stays focused, presenting listeners with a new batch of bouncy, down-south anthems that speak of devil-may-care ice-rocking, strip-club adventures, and the perks and perils of guarding the stash house. Heavy on guest appearances, BACK TO THE TRAPHOUSE features cameos from Ludacris, Lil Kim, Pimp C, Rich Boy, Blaze-1, Trey Songz, Shawnna, LeToya Luckett, and the Game.
Atlanta-based Dirty South MC Gucci Mane made a name for himself with his 2004 debut indie release, TRAP HOUSE, which featured the popular and ultimately controversial single "Icey." The song, a duet with chief snowman Young Jeezy, sparked a major feud between the two that played out via the underground mixtape circuit, but eventually escalated to violence and run-ins with the law for Mane. Nonetheless, Mane was able to make the jump from the independent Cat House label to Atlantic Records for 2007's BACK TO THE TRAP HOUSE.
