Distributor: Allegro Corporation (Dist Notes: Tributee: Coldplay. Somewhat unsurprisingly, Chris Martin's emotionally tinged Coldplay compositions transfer rather well to the string quartet format, which means that although this album cannot escape its inherent cheesiness, it's a lot better than some of the other choices out there (H.I.M., Breaking Benjamin, Crossfade, etc.). Still, why this is a better pick over the actual Coldplay songs is unclear, especially since the original versions are just as sentimental and affected as the string quartet takes. ~ Marisa Brown
