Notes: A year after his monumental sophomore effort, HI-TEKNOLOGY 2: THE CHIP, the superproducer from the 'Nati returns with part three of the trilogy. This time around, Tek embraces more of the subtle, ambient soul featured on THE CHIP while shying away from conventional hardcore compositions. As such, much of the album's content is driven by lofty string samples, delicate piano loops, and sublime vocal harmonies provided by R&B singers Estelle, Jonell, and Dion. The guest-list here includes more unknowns (Rem Dog, Showtime, Cross, Mann, Chip the Rippa, Lep) than that of its predecessor, while a number of certified rap stars (Ghostface, Raekwon, Kurupt, Young Buck, Little Brother, Talib Kweli) also make appearances.
