Issued in 2007, this installment of the eclectic, artist-selected LATE NIGHT TALES series presents an unpredictable mix by Norman Cook, best known by his nom de techno, Fatboy Slim. Although Cook's own music is tailor-made for the club, these tracks sometimes fall into rock and even jazz territory, as evinced by the Modern Lovers' jangly number "Roadrunner" and the Vince Guaraldi Trio's jaunty cartoon theme, "Linus and Lucy," respectively. The cherry on top of this fun, dynamic compilation is the propulsive "Radioactivity," Slim's fairly faithful take on the Kraftwerk classic.
