Notes: In the 2007 documentary BODY OF WAR, audiences meet Tomas Young, an American soldier who was paralyzed by a bullet during his first week of combat in Iraq. Like many young people, he relied on the inspiring and healing power of music to help him through the pain of his loss and the triumph of his emotional recovery. This stirring soundtrack includes songs that Young listened to on his return home to the States, as well as songs inspired by the film. With contributions from Eddie Vedder (who has become quite the king of original soundtracks in his post-Pearl Jam days), as well as Bright Eyes, Serje Tankian, and Neil Young, the album is a powerful tribute to both the courage to fight and the courage to say "no" to fighting. Part of the proceeds of the album go toward funding Iraq Vets Against the War.
