It's a deliberateness that carries over to his relaxed soul-infused folk, equal parts Marvin Gaye and Bob Dylan. Casey's songs slowly unfold with a warm loneliness, a stern sadness reminiscent of Jeff Buckley. It lingers in the air whether the singer's spinning and reflecting as on the title track, giving a love a bittersweet send-off as on "You'll Get By," or waxing mournful as on "It's Over Now."
