Along with his sumptuously mellow, chilled-funk approach, Lington goes a little exotic here as well, working some sultry Brazilian rhythms into the mix. His sax can be alternately Kenny G sweet and Warren Hill boisterous, and there's also a nice mix of vocals and instrumentals throughout. Fans of Hill as well as Dave Koz, David Sanborn, and Gerald Albright will find lots to savor here.
JazzTimes (12/00, p.92) - "...Lington shows considerable chops and a warm, romantic tone..."
