The veteran jazz bassist Henry Grimes is reunited with the drummer Rashied Ali after a gap of some 42 years on this set of bass, drums, and poetry improvisations. Grimes, who has performed with a stylistic array of artists encompassing Gerry Mulligan, Charles Mingus, and Benny Goodman, brings his masterful technique and innate musicality to bear on a selection of pieces recorded for Columbia University's WKCR radio station in 2007.
