While it incorporates much less of the willfully repetitive "motorik" beat leader Klaus Dinger had pioneered with Neu! it bears a more urgent feel. The songs hew closer to rock-like structures, bearing lots of commonalities with the contemporaneous post-punk/new wave sounds emerging at the time. The 20-minute epic masterpiece "Cha Cha 2000"'s graceful, elegant sweep helped lay the groundwork for the New Romantic movement that began a couple of years later.
