Opening with 1984's "How Blue," McEntire's first hit single for the label, the set continues in roughly chronological order all the way to 2007's "Because of You," a duet with Kelly Clarkson co-written by Ben Moody and David Hodges of Evanescence. As a result, 50 GREATEST HITS is a history not only of McEntire's career, but of Nashville tastes as a whole during this time period.
