Distributor: Sony Music Distribution ( Notes: Sony/Legacy's budget-line 2009 PLAYLIST set is the first-ever compilation on Los Lonely Boys and while it doesn't necessarily dig very deep, it nevertheless provides a strong overview of their career, sampling nicely from their three studio albums and one live album for Epic, featuring all three of their hit singles -- "Heaven," "Diamonds," and "More Than Love," the latter in a radio remix -- along with 12 other highlights.
Los Lonely Boys--three Mexican-American brothers born and raised in Texas--brought the concept of Tex-Mex music into the 21st century. Raised on the sounds of Texas rock, blues, and country, the virtuoso family band is also heavily indebted to both Willie Nelson (an early champion) and their father, Ringo Garza Sr., leader of the famed norteno act the Falcones. Los Lonely Boys' amiable mix of fiery guitar rock and smooth pop melodies earned them a Grammy in 2005. The trio released its sophomore album, SACRED, in 2006.
