Liner Note Author: Larry Hoffman . Unknown Contributor Roles: The Patterson; Larry Hoffman . The holiday spirit rarely makes an appearance on Soul of Christmas, Vol. 2, a bizarre album that never gains its footing despite its impressive lineup of artists. A big reason for that is simply because these songs are taken from all different eras and styles of music. The sound quality rises and dips several times throughout the album, and some of the contributions are just plain bad. Rising out of the mess is Louis Armstrong, who delivers the best track, "Zat You, Santa Claus?" But this is mostly just a hurried holiday cash-in that does not stand up to the standards of the artists it features. ~ Bradley Torreano
