Recorded at The Ol' Bunkhouse, Goodlettsville, Tennessee. One of the great things about tribute albums is that the strength of the songwriting on them is a given. Sometimes though, classic songs just shouldn't be messed with, especially by those who are trying to innovate by adding new twists to their performances. Only the Lonely: An Instrumental Country Tribute to Roy Orbison is a great example. Roy Orbison was a genius whose music crossed genre boundaries, but its rendering as country instrumental is no tribute at all. This album just doesn't work. ~ Stacia Proefrock
