Distributor: Sony Music Distribution ( Notes: Sony Music Special Products' Hits of 1994 is a ten-song collection of songs that is as schizophrenic as they come, with songs as diverse as Babyface's "When Can I See You Again," M People's pop-techno groover "Moving On Up," and the dancehall of Ini Kamoze's "Here Comes the High Stepper" bumping uneasily against each other. Throw in the pop-rap dance of C+C Music Factory, the alternative rock of Toad the Wet Sprocket, and the dopey "You Let Your Heart Go Too Fast" by the Spin Doctors and you've got a disc that captures a decent portion of the year 1994. Still, since it lacks the biggest hits of the year and is so scattershot (not to mention too brief), the disc isn't of much value. ~ Tim Sendra
