Since the early '60s, Bobby Vinton has managed to retain a steady fan base throughout numerous changes in pop music by sticking with what he does best: simple romantic crooning. At one point he even knocked the Beatles out of the number one spot on the charts in 1964. Ev'ry Day of My Life and Satin Pillows were originally released in 1965 and 1972, respectively, during Vinton's lengthy tenure at Epic Records. Even though a few of the 21 songs included are obviously filler, Vinton's renditions of well known romantic titles like "Misty Blue," "Satin Pillows," and "Someday (You'll Want Me to Want You)" are pleasant enough. In 2003 Collectables began reissuing Vinton's Epic titles as two-fers with original cover art and song sequence.~ Al Campbell
