Performer: Original Soundtrack/Original TV Soundtracks
Producer: Herman Diaz, Jr. Distributor: Gotham Distributing Corp. Notes: 2 LPs on 1 CD: THE SAINT (1965)/SECRET AGENT (1966). Original score composed by Edwin Astley. Originally released on RCA. The Saint/Secret Agent collects 24 excerpts of incidental music featured in the television series by Edwin Astley and his orchestra with arrangements by Ken Jones. This is fun stuff in small doses, similar to the James Bond soundtracks. You can't go wrong with titles like "I Wonder Where the Microdot Went?," "Vulgar Olga," "The Saint Takes a Ride," and "Main Theme From 'The Saint'." It's sure to bring back fond memories for those who remember the original series. By the way, "Secret Agent Man" is the same song Johnny Rivers had a hit with, but it's not his vocal on this compilation. ~ Al Campbell
