Disc: 1
To listen to sound clips, you'll need the most current version of the
Performer: Sheena Easton
Distributor: Gotham Distributing Corp. Notes: Recorded between 1980 & 1985. Collectables' 2003 collection Greatest Hits serves up ten songs on a budget-priced release, so it shouldn't be expected that all of Sheena Easton's hits are here. And they aren't. There are a few big songs -- most notably the James Bond theme "For Your Eyes Only," the dance hit "The Lover in Me," and the Kenny Rogers duet "We've Got Tonight" -- missing, along with some other, smaller hits, but the defining hits are here: "Morning Train (Nine to Five)," "Modern Girl," "Telefone (Long Distance Love Affair)," "Strut," and "Sugar Walls." Then, there are the smaller hits like "Almost Over You" and "Do It for Love" that fill out the rest of the collection. This means that the disc, while not thorough, does indeed deliver more than most budget-priced collections, making it a bargain, if not a steal. ~ Stephen Thomas Erlewine
