The third volume of Totally Country features 17 tracks of modern country radio hits from the late '90s, including Tim McGraw's "Unbroken," Faith Hill's "Cry," LeAnn Rimes' "Life Goes On," and Travis Tritt's "Strong Enough to Be Your Man." This is a decent set for casual fans of contemporary country or soft rock. ~ Al Campbell This third installment of the TOTALLY COUNTRY series features more appealing hits by the genre's most popular artists. Tim McGraw's uplifting opening song, "Unbroken," precedes the pleading "Cry," by his wife, Faith Hill, revealing a dynamic track listing that flows exceedingly well from song to song. Much of the collection's tone is lyrically upbeat, as evidenced on Martina McBride's "Blessed," Rascal Flatts' "Love You Out Loud," Trick Pony's "On a Mission," and LeAnn Rimes' "Life Goes On." However, not all is sunny on VOL. 3, as melancholy tunes are carefully interspersed throughout, including Randy Travis's "Three Wooden Crosses" and Lonestar's "Not a Day Goes By." For the finest in a variety of country radio hits, TOTALLY COUNTRY VOL. 3 can't be topped.
