Specializing in top-notch roots and dub material, Pressure Sounds produces its packages with care and reverence. This is the fifth in a series of the label's samplers, and although the artists represented in this collection are varied, the overall feel is one of cohesion. Among the standouts here are the opening track, "Purify Your Heart," by Johnny Osbourne, the echo-laden and big sounding "Train From Basrah" by Mike Brooks, and the calm, elegant "Hop Special" by Roland Alphonso, Jamaica's premier sax player. ~ Steve Leggett
