Quite simply, the second volume of Vitamin's String Quartet Tribute to Incubus covers much of what the first didn't, augmented by tracks from the group's late- 2003 effort Crow Left of the Murder. With the usual combination of viola, cello, and two violins, the set runs through chamber music-type instrumental versions of oldies ("Nice to Know You," "Are You In?") and newbies ("Megalomaniac"), completely missing the harsher angles in Incubus' music and eschewing much of the loose-limbed soul. "Circles" does feature some rousing layers of violin harmony, but that doesn't make this tribute anything more than a novelty for Incubus diehards. ~ Johnny Loftus
