Performer: DJ Crunk Mix
Distributor: Ryko Distribution Notes: Since the world of Crunk is singles-driven and always changing, tracks fly by faster than licensing departments can catch them, and bootleg mixtapes are almost always better than any commercial release. But Crunk: Da Mix Tape has a fairly decent track list, with Lil Jon & the East Side Boyz, Ying Yang Twins, and honorary "Crunker" Ludacris, so mixtape excitement should be easy to duplicate. Problem is, DJ Crunk Mix needs a lesson in pacing. Things don't get moving until we're seven tracks in, then it slows down again, then it picks up, then it slows down more than before.
