Performer: Original Soundtrack/Various Artists
Distributor: BMG (distributor) Notes: Motorcycle Mania, Vol. 3 is the soundtrack to the Discovery Channel's documentary film of the same name. The star of the movie, Jesse James, who also appears in Monster Garage and is a master motorcycle customizer, chose the tracks for the collection. The tracks are a mix of hard metal, fast punk, and Lou Rawls! Some of the highlights are Manic Hispanic's cover of "Ruby Soho" (retitled "Rudy Cholo"), the New Bomb Turks' "Hassle St.," and the Supersuckers' "Goodbye." Any collection worth its salt needs to have a couple of rarities to hook people in and this is no exception, as Fu Manchu contributes an unreleased song, "I'm Gettin' Away," and Kid Rock turns in an acoustic version of Charlie Daniels' "Long Haired Country Boy" (the performance of which is featured in the movie). Interspersed with the music are spoken passages from James. ~ Tim Sendra
