King, Big Joe Turner, Percy Mayfield, and Bobby "Blue" Bland with those associated more with R&B or soul than blues in the strictest sense, like Chuck Berry ("Wee Wee Hours"), Aretha Franklin ("Today I Sing the Blues"), Barbara Lynn ("You'll Lose a Good Thing"), and Toussaint McCall ("Nothing Takes the Place of You").
