Anotomica: The String Quartet Tribute to Tool actually combines two of Vitamin's previous string tributes to the band. Disc one was originally released in 2001 as String Tribute to Tool, while Anotomica's second disc first appeared in 2003 as Metamorphic: The String Quartet Tribute to Tool. Owners of the earlier collections won't find any additional content here. However, the set is still one of the better, even creepier entries in Vitamin's series. Even without vocals, the violinists, violists, cellists, and bassists are able to re-create the clamminess of Tool's sound; they even uncover the inventive, progressive underpinnings of memorable tracks like "Grudge," "Sober," "Ticks and Leeches," "Stinkfist," and "Parabol." ~ Johnny Loftus
