This twelve-song compilation brings together all the chart-toppers by N Sync, arguably the most popular boy band (with some competition from the Backstreet Boys) of the 1990s and early 2000s. N Sync released only three studio albums in their heyday, yet their commercial impact was immense, and GREATEST HITS, which includes mega-hits like the handkerchief-wringing ballad "Tearin' Up My Heart" and the bouncy, pop confection "Bye Bye Bye," will bring those glory years back for fans. Since N Sync was primarily a singles group, this set is the best, most focused representation of their shiny, lightweight pop, much of which still has the power to zap the hearts of teeny boppers the world over.
The Backstreet Boys showed that the teenybop audience remained a lucrative market after such past teen stars as the Bay City Rollers and New Kids On The Block had long since bit the dust, so N Sync figured the more the merrier. Mining the same territory as the Backstreet Boys (both musically and visually), N Sync scaled the same commercial heights as their predecessors with a mixture of bubblegum pop and dance.
