Performer: UFO
Engineer: Tommy Newton; Tommy Newton
Distributor: Ryko Distribution

Notes: UFO: Phil Mogg (vocals); Paul Raymond (guitar); Pete Way (bass instrument); Jason Bonham, Vinnie Moore. Personnel: Paul Raymond (vocals, keyboards); Jason Bonham (vocals, drums); Vinnie Moore (guitar). Audio Mixer: Tommy Newton. Recording information: Wilhelmshaven, Germany (05/13/2005). This 2005 two-disc set presents the heady British space-rock veterans live in Germany. Although the lineup does not include revered guitarist Michael Schenker, the band does showcase the talents of six-string virtuoso Vinnie Moore and drummer extraordinaire Jason Bonham (the son of Led Zep's John Bonham). With the rest of UFO in fine form, particularly vocalist Phil Mogg, SHOWTIME reveals that the ensemble is still potent even four decades into its career.
UFO were a British hard rock band who, during the course of their long career, dabbled in blues rock, space rock, metal, and AOR. The band is often cited as a key influence on the NWOBHM. Formed in 1969, UFO pirated away a young Michael Schenker from the Scorpions. The then-fledgling guitar hero graced some of the band's most well-regarded albums, and is credited with helping UFO define their signature sound, before rejoining the Scorpions in the late '70s. The '80s were not kind to UFO, though the band's classic line-up (including Schenker) did re-form for an album and shows in the mid '90s.
