Notes: Additional personnel: Foxx , Inf, Teflon, Wyclef Jean (rap vocals); ODB. "Why did M.O.P. sign a deal with Roc-A-Fella?" is some food for thought from a Freddie Foxxx freestyle. For worse or better, M.O.P.'s Roc-A-Fella deal went sour before a full studio album came into fruition. And while their 2005 effort, THE ST. MARXMEN, features a number of more radio-friendly studio cuts and collaborations from their short-lived tenure with Jay-Z's label, longtime fans will be pleased to hear that the album is, on the whole, the same rowdy, "banned from TV" sound that has been the Brownville duo's signature since "How About Some Hardcore." Of particular note is "Put It in the Air," on which Fizzy Womack and Lil Fame deliver some of their most ferocious verses in years over a pounding, Run DMC-esque boom-bap beat.
