Producer: Mark Suozzo... Distributor: RED Distribution Notes: Composer: Mark Suozzo. The soundtrack to Mary Harron's examination of Bettie Page's 1950s career as a risque pinup model is packed with period gems like Jeri Southern's kitsch "An Occasional Man" and Patsy Cline's gospel-influenced "Life's Railway to Heaven," both demonstrating the very different sides of Page's personality--religiously devout, as well as unabashedly exhibitionistic. There's also Charles Mingus's passionate "Love Chant," Hank Ballard & the Midnighters' raunchy "Sexy Ways," and the space-age bachelor pad music of Esquivel's "Mucha Muchacha," all contributing an atmospheric backdrop to this subtle portrait of a complex woman.
