Notes: Though the "no boys allowed" rule that seemed to guide Charmed: Book of Shadows made it the best of the collections of music loosely tied into the WB series, Charmed: The Final Chapter returns to the more scattered feel of the first Charmed soundtrack. Along with tracks from Lillith Fair-esque artists like Liz Phair's "Baby Got Going" (which is one of the album's standouts), Sarah McLachlan's "Good Enough," and Beth Orton's "Stolen Car," the soundtrack also includes a fair amount of songs from performers whose heydays were in the '90s, such as Collective Soul, Barenaked Ladies, and Rusted Root. However, inspired choices such as Eddi Reader's "Bell, Book & Candle," and the witchy trip-hop of Conjure One's "Tears from the Moon" add a little interest. Perhaps this collection is a fitting final chapter to the Charmed soundtracks, after all -- with tracks like the Crystal Method's "The Name of the Game," Charmed: The Final Chapter feels like a late '90s/early 2000s time capsule, harking back to the salad days of the Halliwell sisters. ~ Heather Phares
