Despite the departure of its two most high-profile members, bassist Justin Meldal-Johnsen and drummer Joey Waronker--both formerly of Beck's backing band--the alt-rock group Ima Robot soldiered on with 2006's MONUMENT TO THE MASSES. As on its self-titled debut, the Los Angeles-based band, fronted by nasal-voiced singer Alex Ebert, presents another set of lively, New Wave-influenced tunes, most notably the supremely catchy "Disconnect" and the raucous "Stick It to the Man."
