Notes: This three-CD box set celebrated the centenary of film music composer Franz Waxman's birth with selections from three of his many movie scores. Included are two bona-fide classics: Alfred Hitchcock's REBECCA and Billy Wilder's SUNSET BOULEVARD, as well as Waxman's musical settings for the 1957 movie PEYTON PLACE, the forerunner of the 1960s soap opera, all recorded in 2006 by the Royal Scottish National Orchestra.
