This Copycats concoction, Tony Bennett Smooth Jazz Tribute, employs a faceless studio band who take ten standard melodies associated with the singer, wipe out the vocals, and re-records them with generic arrangements. Obviously the problem on this set isn't in the material itself. This is elevator music, and as such, degenerates into background fluff, providing no tribute to Tony Bennett whatsoever. ~ Al Campbell
