Recording information: Henson Studios, Hollywood, CA. Matt White's full-length, major-label debut proves that his well received 2004 EP, BURN OUT BRIGHT, was no fluke. Like BURN OUT BRIGHT, BEST DAYS mines a style of catchy, adult alternative pop-rock, but the bar is raised here with a superior batch of songs, production, and performances. White draws on classic rock and the "sensitive guy" singer-songwriter tradition, but the combination results in readily digestible pop in the vein of Maroon 5. With its personal lyrics, its catchy melodies, and the lilt of White's emotive voice, BEST DAYS is sure to strike a chord with fans of singer-songwriter pop.
Rolling Stone (p.92) - 3 stars out of 5 -- "[With] sweet melodies and easy rhythms....He shows that he's capable of standing out from the [crowd]..."
