The Traffic Entertainment reissue of the original soundtrack for the film Petey Wheatstraw, The Devil's Son in Law, based on the life of the great bluesman and made when he was very much alive, is simply lame. The new material -- sung by Rudy Ray Moore who played him in the film -- is crummy '70s urban soul, and the instrumental stuff is stilted to the point of death for the most part.
